Buy Rasasi Hawas first. It is the fresh, fruity, all-day bottle you can wear to work in July, which is the slot most people need filled. Buy Armaf Club de Nuit Intense Man first instead only if you want maximum impact in a cold-weather evening and you already own something for daylight — it is a smoky-pineapple Aventus clone with beast-mode projection, and it is the wrong fragrance for a warm office at any dose.
Why these two get compared at all
They are the two bottles that come up in every "cheap fragrance that smells expensive" discussion, they cost roughly the same, and both have the reputation of punching far above their price. That is the entire basis of the comparison, and it is a weak one — because they smell nothing alike and they are built for different halves of the year.
- Club de Nuit Intense Man — smoky pineapple and birch over a sweeter, rougher dry-down. An EDT that performs like an extrait: our rubric gives it 9 for longevity, 9 for sillage and 9 for projection. Cold weather, evenings, being noticed.
- Rasasi Hawas For Him — fresh, fruity, slightly sweet aquatic in EDP concentration, with the one thing cheap fresh scents almost never have: reported all-day longevity. Spring, summer, daytime, anywhere.
Asking which is better is like asking whether a parka beats a linen shirt. The useful question is which slot in your wardrobe is empty, and for most people reading a page like this, it is the daytime one.
What each one actually costs
Both are sold as large bottles, and the sticker prices do not tell you the same thing because the volumes differ. Per-milliliter is the honest comparison, and it comes from the live Amazon prices below rather than from anything we typed in:
| Bottle | Size | Price | Per ml | Buy it for |
|---|
| Rasasi Hawas For HimFresh-fruity aquatic EDP with unusually strong longevity for the family. The versatile one. | 100 ml | $29.50 | $0.29 | Daytime, heat, year-round |
| Armaf Club de Nuit Intense ManSmoky pineapple and birch with beast-mode projection. The loud one, and the cheaper per milliliter. | 105 ml | $23.97 | $0.23 | Cold evenings, impact |
#ad · Prices are live from the Amazon Product API, as of October 10, 2026, and per-milliliter is calculated from them. Where we have no verified live price we show a dash rather than a number that has rotted. Closeness calls are our editorial judgment, not lab measurements.
Club de Nuit is usually the cheaper of the two per milliliter, and it is still not the one we would buy first. That is the point of running the numbers: cost per milliliter tells you which is better value, not which is more useful to you.
Performance: Club de Nuit wins, and it is not close
On raw output there is no argument. Club de Nuit Intense Man is one of the loudest fragrances at any price, with owner consensus around eight hours and more, and projection that genuinely fills a room. Hawas is strong for a fresh scent — 8 for longevity on our rubric — but it is a normal-volume fragrance, not a siren.
Two caveats on the Armaf, both from the owner consensus rather than from us. The dry-down loses the refinement of the original it chases and turns sweeter and rougher after the first hour, and batch variation is real: some bottles project noticeably weaker than others. The full picture is in our Club de Nuit Intense review, and how it stacks up against the rest of the Aventus field is in best Aventus clones.
Versatility: Hawas wins, and that is why it is rank one
Hawas scores 9 for versatility on our rubric against Club de Nuit's 7, and the gap is bigger in practice than that suggests, because Club de Nuit's 7 assumes you are willing to wear a loud smoky fragrance in the daytime. Hawas works at a desk, in heat, on a weekend and at dinner. It is the bottle you will actually finish.
If you want one cheap bottle and you are not sure which, that is the deciding argument. We make the same case on the broader under-$50 ranking and in best long-lasting colognes, where both bottles appear for different reasons.
The third option most people miss
If what you actually want is a bright, cold, high-performing fresh fragrance — Hawas's brief but sharper and less sweet — Armaf Club de Nuit Sillage is the bottle to look at. It sits in the Creed Silver Mountain Water lane, owners report around nine hours, and it is one of the cheapest routes into that style. The trade is a metallic opening that needs twenty to thirty minutes to settle, and owners widely advise two or three sprays at most.
It is the third pick here rather than a contender for first because that opening makes it a worse blind buy than either of the other two. The rest of the Armaf range is ranked in best Armaf fragrances, and the rest of Rasasi's in best Rasasi fragrances.
Which to buy, by situation
You own nothing and want one bottle
Hawas. It covers more of the year, it is office-safe at three sprays, and nothing about it needs explaining to the people around you. Club de Nuit as a first and only fragrance means having one setting, and that setting is loud.
You already own something fresh
Club de Nuit, and treat it as the evening and cold-weather half of a pair. This is the correct way to own it, and at this price owning both is a reasonable proposition rather than an indulgence — together they cover a year for less than one designer bottle. The wider budget field is in best cologne dupes.
You want the Aventus effect specifically
Club de Nuit, but read the clone ranking first. It is the default answer and it is not the only one — Afnan Supremacy Not Only Intense competes directly, and we compare them head-to-head in Club de Nuit vs Afnan Supremacy. Hawas is sometimes recommended as an Aventus alternative and it is not one: there is no smoky birch dry-down in it at all.
Watch the dose on the Armaf, and the listing on both
Three sprays of Club de Nuit Intense Man is a lot; five is the reason people have strong opinions about it. Start at two and see how many sprays to use. Both houses also have confusing ranges — Club de Nuit has an Intense, a Sillage, an Untold, a Blue Iconic, an Urban Man Elixir and more, and Rasasi transliterates its names inconsistently — so read the full listing title, not the photograph. Our Hawas flanker comparison covers that trap on the Rasasi side, and is Amazon cologne real covers buying either one online.
